Welcome to Tig Áine - Café, Restaurant, Gallery on The Wild Atlantic Way and Slea Head Drive boasting the most spectacular panoramic view in County Kerry.

Tig Áine is closed until Spring 2021 (Contact: 0877748767)

We use top quality local produce, bake our own brown bread, scones and cake and utilise the fantastic fish and fresh meats from our doorstep. Our hens supply eggs for the kitchen and the goat, ducks and geese entertain our younger customers.

We offer triple certified coffee and Barry's tea, which suits our well water, as well as a range of herbal teas.

We use Paganini - Irish Dairy Ice Cream - from the (Tom) Murphy family farm in Collhull, Co. Wexford.

We have binoculars and telescopes to view the wildlife from the patio, whales and dolphins are regurarly sighted along with varied bird life. Look out for the white-tailed sea eagles!

Céad míle fáilte!

We are priviledged to live in a Gaeltacht Area with rich local history and culture, books in Irish and English are available to help you enjoy this and we are always happy to answer any questions.

We are delighted to support Corca Dhuibhne ag caint.

New era at Aine's house

New era at Aine's house off to an excellent start.

The name 'Tig Áine' is not new. It's Áine's house and has been for many years. It came into being when Áine and her partner, the much loved and now sadly-lamented writer and teacher Michael Ó Dubhshlaine took an old stone ruin overlooking Sybil Head and transformed it into the homeliest of homes.
